A Sugary Cloud
Seated in the back
of a truck stop diner,
we order.
One chocolate milkshake.
swirls of syrup
stick to the glass,
surrounding the heaping dessert.
Fluffy mounds of white
piled high on top
with two cherries,
of course.
Two straws,
of the bendy variety,
no less for a princess
and a queen.
And a plate of cookies,
